When it comes to the art of drawing, Galerie Maurits van de Laar has a reputation to uphold. When it comes to the art of drawing, Galerie Maurits van de Laar has a reputation to uphold. In the Drawing Cabinet the draftsmen and draftswomen that are represented by the gallery, together with some guest artists, will each show two or three works. The exhibition has a salon-like look, but still showcases each drawing individually. The Drawing Cabinet contains traditional pencil drawings but also three dimensional drawings by Karin van Dam, patterndrawings by Christie van der Haak, embroidery drawings of Dieter Mammel, watercolour sketches of Erik Pape and drawings that are partially painted by Justin Wijers. Also exhibited is a rare early work by Marcel van Eeden, who started his now international career at Galerie Maurits van de Laar in 1993.
