Karin van Dam: Zwerk, Wool, Water – Grote Kerk Veere<\/p>\n
Karin van Dam (1959) realized an installation in the Grote Kerk Veere, NL, entitled Skies, Wool, Water in which she refers to the history of the town of Veere, which thrived in the past through the wool trade with Scotland. On the floor of the church she laid a pattern of knitted black monofilament that evokes the waves of the sea. Above and next to it she hung textile objects and shapes, thus balancing her work with the monumental space of the church.<\/p>\n
