Martin Fenne (1964) is showing his work Sofferte Onde Serene #5, eponymous to the piece by Italian composer Luigi Nono, as part of the group show Sleep! at Kunsthal KAdE. Fenne’s textile works fall into a realm within the arts that is mainly explored by women artists. By using strips of satin piping he recreates the shape of a mattress with a bulky blanket in an undulating motion. The bands of shiny material partially overlap and are slightly lifted from the surface, thus catching the light which produces a beautiful luster in monochrome shades. Moonlight that is reflected on a calm sea served as inspiration for this work. The exhibition at Kunsthal KAdE features 50 international artists and designers whose works invite the visitor to encounter different levels of consciousness and stages of sleep.

Kunsthal KAdE, Eemplein 77, Amersfoort Martin Fenne (1964) is showing his textile work Sofferte Onde Serene #5 as part of the group show Sleep! at Kunsthal KAdE.

[1153
156
post-26525","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news-2024","tag-martin-fenne-en","category-1153","description-off
