Dan Zhu (1985) has a solo exhibition entitled All Ends Meet at Museum Kranenburgh, Bergen NL. It was opened with a dialogue between curator Melchior Jaspers and Dan Zhu. Dan Zhu’s art has an Asian elegance combined with a subtle yet powerful imagination of hidden energies in nature. Her paintings and drawings often have a mysterious and magical atmosphere with for instance a cat whose tail is abducted by a swarm of butterflies, skeletons having a cup of tea on the beach or seeds that transform into a curtain of rotating fireworks. Dan Zhu produced several new works during her residency at Museum Kranenburgh and painted a large mural with an Orka mother and calf.

Museum Kranenburgh
