[vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/3″][vc_single_image image=”9166″ img_size=”medium”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]Marcel van Eeden<\/strong> (1965) conceived a new series of drawings commissioned by the NOG Collection, titled Circus Henny. <\/em>It is modelled on the historic Swiss Circus H\u00e4ni <\/em>that sets up its tents at Schiedam, The Netherlands. As storyline charged with suspense runs through the series, the texts are parly based on the novel Verbrande Erven<\/em> (Burnt Farmyards) by Dutch writer Ferdinand Bordewijk. The publication Circus Henny<\/em> has been published to accompany the drawing series.<\/p>\n
