Durning the fair the gallery is open 

At NAP+ 2025, Galerie Maurits van de Laar presents in stand 37 works on paper and a large painting on panel by Martin Assig and drawings and sculptures by Dirk Zoete.

In February they exhibited together at Galerie Maurits van de Laar in the exhibition Doppelmensch. Both artists focus on the basis of existence, what it means to be human in all its aspects, and the longing for a life in harmony with nature and the world. Martin Assig shows works on paper from his St. Paul and Seelen (souls) series and a large painting on panel. Dirk Zoete presents drawings with stylized human figures, birds, cacti, and landscapes. He also has three sculptures of stylized human figures, related to Malevich’s Suprematist figures or Schlemmer’s costumes from the Triadic Ballet, yet also undeniably Flemish.
