Marcel van Eeden (1965) conceived a new series of drawings commissioned by the NOG Collection, titled Circus Henny. It is modelled on the historic Swiss Circus Häni that sets up its tents at Schiedam, The Netherlands. As storyline charged with suspense runs through the series, the texts are parly based on the novel Verbrande Erven (Burnt Farmyards) by Dutch writer Ferdinand Bordewijk. The publication Circus Henny has been published to accompany the drawing series.
