Following its premiere in 2015 at the former Citroëngarage at the Museumplein, Amsterdam Art Fair is now located in a temporary pavillion at the Museumplein, surrounded by the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Van Goghmuseum and Rijksmuseum. Art Amsterdam 2016 hosts 43 leading Dutch galleries alongside 13 international galleries form Belgium, Germany, the UK, Luxemburg and Switzerland.
With this selection and its prominent new location at the Museumplein Amsterdam Art Fair underlines its ambition to connect with the international art and faircircuit.

Galerie Maurits van de Laar shows in stand 44 drawings by Henri Jacobs and Justin Wijers, paintings by Erik Pape and Ronald Versloot. Also a new work by Martin Fenne, built up with satin strips is on show and a porcelain sculpture of two toy monkeys by Zeger Reyers. Amsterdam Art Fair again organizes a special sculpture exhibition: SCULPTURE 2. The exhibtion is within walking distance form the fair at Johannes Vermeerstraat nr 29. Zeger Reyers shows a similar sculpture here, both were produced in his recent residency at the European Ceramic Workcentre in The Netherlands.
