Galerie Maurits van de Laar presents in stand B8 Martin Assig’s Seelen series works, Journal Drawings by Henri Jacobs, watercolours by Nour-Eddine Jarram and a large and smaller collage drawings by Susanna Inglada.
The 6th edition of Art On Paper Brussels takes place in the impressive halls of the Gare Maritime on the Tour & Taxis grounds. At the invitation of architect Willem Jan Neutelings Henri Jacobs designed eight floor mosaics for the renovation of the building, which have been executed in the central hall, each is a square of 10 x 12 meters. The patterns are formed by using three colours of stone: Yellow Granite, Argentine Porphyry and Vietnamese Basalt. Four mosaics have names and motifs of sweet/candy: cuberdon, pralines, speculoos and kriek, four of savory or nutritious: chicory, stoemp, fries and caracollen.
