Bloom – Klasse Van Eeden

Marcel van Eeden (1965) has been professor at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Karlsruhe since 2014 and was appointed rector in 2021. He teaches students of different years in his ‘Klasse Van Eeden’, its curriculum also includes organizing exhibitions as preparation for the artist’s professional practice after the academy.

Galerie Maurits van de Laar will host the exhibition BLOOM on May 7 and 8, in which twenty students will show their work, ranging from painting, drawing, spatial work, photography, video and installations.

Participating are: Evelyn Volk, Carolin Bäcker, Anna Zimante, Julia Frey, Johanna Fritsch, Sara Kim Haese, Grischa Kaczmarek, Marlene Kuppinger, Nina Marie Ernst, Christian Rupp, Fernanda Duran-Eichllnger, Lily Arnold, Marita Dörr, Rahel Schnell, Thomas Morgan, Lara Ellis, Johanna Pohle, Patricia Popp, Lillian Estelle Priester, Lilly Walter.

Marcel van Eeden himself will exhibit several new photographic works.
