Frank Van den Broeck at Museum Beelden aan Zee

Frank Van den Broeck (1950) has an exhibition at Museum Beelden aan Zee entitled Fire and Fiction. Draughtsman par excellence Van den Broeck has been making sculptures since the late 1990s of heads and faces half hidden, half visible in the clay. The artist’s hand is clearly present in the sculptures, which are often not much bigger than a fist. On view alongside the sculptures is a selection of drawings that are always the starting point for Van den Broeck’s spatial work.
