Marcel van Eeden at Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe
Marcel van Eeden (1965) exhibits at the Städtische Galerie Karlsruhe where his work is shown alongside the graphics and drawings by Karl Hubbuch (1891–1979) in the exhibition Drawing Rooms. Both artists have a connection with the Kunstakademie Karlsruhe. Karl Hubbuch was a professor there until 1933, because of the socially critical attitude in his work he was fired on the basis of the newly instituted Nazi legislation. Marcel van Eeden is currently rector of the academy, in addition to drawings he shows photos in gum print of places in Karlsruhe that have related to Karl Hubbuch. Both artists show about 200 drawings and works on paper in the exhibition.
