Marcel van Eeden in Museum Morsbroich, Leverkusen
Marcel van Eeden (1965) has a solo exhibition entitled Art Today at the Museum Morsbroich in Leverkusen. The exhibition features drawings from the Gerhard Theewen collection amd loans from other collections and animations. In the drawings, Van Eeden takes you on a city walk through his adopted city of Zürich, from the Bellevue tram stop along the Polybähnli, across Lake Zürich to Picabia and Miró in the Kronenhalle and Eduard von der Heydt’s ‘Weltkunst’ collection, which later formed the basis for the Zurich Rietberg Museum. In the animations, van Eeden shows the world of his alter ego Oswald Sollmann and in particular his surreal revue show with dancing porkchops.
