Martin Assig in Museum Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen Magdeburg
Martig Assig made a floorpiece in the church of Museum Kloster unser lieben Frauen in Magdeburg, Germany.
The church is part of the Unser Lieben Frauen monastery (Our Lady monastery) and is an important monument of German Romanesque architecture, built around 1078 and under renovation since 2016. The crypt has been fully renovated, and was opened for the public on October 7th. In the crossing above the crypt on the ground floor is Martin Assig’s floorpiece in which he refers to the life and work of the founder of the abbey, St. Norbert of Xanten.
