Nour-Eddine Jarram solo exhibition at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe.

From November 16 2020, Nour-Eddine Jarram’s extensive solo exhibition “Beeldenstorm” will be on show at the Rijksmuseum Twenthe. After moving from Morocco to Enschede in order to study art at the AKI academy, Jarram decided to continue working in the Netherlands and developed a characteristic style that interlaces Islamic characters, Dutch landscapes, biblical figures and surrealist motifs. The exhibition follows Jarram’s creative processes and his quest to balance his preference for figuration and the aesthetic influence of Morocco’s decorative visual culture. The title of the show alludes to Jarram’s wish to ‘constantly correct history’ through images. His ‘iconoclastic’ enterprise does not destroy monuments but builds them, as he often honors little recognized historical figures.

The exhibition consist of works from 2007 to 2020 and will be on show until May 9, 2021.
