This autumn the Central Museum in Utrecht presents an extensive exhibition about drawing from 1950 until now, under the title ‘The Line Up’. The accent lies on drawing as a gesture, and focuses on the methods and process of drawing, the underlying thoughts and variety in the resulting imagery. The Line Up aspires to portray this diversity by exhibiting the works of 105 Dutch and international artists. The exhibition is conceived by guestcurator Robbie Cornelissen and museumcurator Marja Bosma. Visitors will be able to enjoy the works of a.o. Robbie Cornelissen, Karin van Dam, Marcel van Eeden, Susanne Inglada, Henri Jacobs and Sebastiaan Schlicher. Additionally, visitors are offered the chance to leave their own mark in the space by creating a linedrawing that transverses the exhibition space, under guidance of Robbie Cornelissen, or follow a guided tour by HKU students on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
