This year the theme of Art The Hague is women in art on the occasion of 100 years women’s voting right. The central exhibition therefore presents works by female artists submitted by participating galleries. Galerie Maurits van de Laar shows Andrea Freckmann‘s painting Madame Mustache and a new spatial work by Karin van Dam produced at the Textile Museum Tilburg. Her latest publication The Path of The Caterpillar is also presented with work that emerged after a trip through Canada.
Galerie Maurits van de Laar presents a presentation by Christie van der Haak in stand 32 with a carpet that runs from the wall on to the floor, on the wall the carpet is flanked by wallpaper in a lighter pattern. On the floor there are eight glass vases on pedestals that have been produced at the National Glass Museum Leerdam NL. On the left wall are two small paintings with vases by Andrea Freckmann. Christie van der Haak will show an installation with panels, fabrics and paintings in the large outdoor window of Museum Schunck Heerlen as of 13 October. More information at https://schunck.nl/
